ABOUT

I was born in a small rural area in Paraguay called San Rafael del Parana in the bosom

of a family of Ukrainian migrants. In 2010, I migrated to Spain with my family where

I live and work until today.

I studied cinema degree in ESCAC thanks to a competitive full scholarship and hold a master degree in editing in Pompeu Fabra University.

In 2020, I co-directed Kambá !  A non-fiction film that portrait the first days of a group of Africans boys that just arrived in the Spain coast. The film focus on the learning of a new language and reflect on the important of words and cinema as a language.

The film was screened at important festivals as Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival and L’alternativa International Film Festival.

I focus my work on exploring my own and family experiences as migrants and the complexity and present post-colonial thinking. I started activism in 2019, supporting migrant struggles in Barcelona and teaching Spanish to African migrant people, with a critical view as a colonial language.

Currently, I am writing my first feature film to be filmed in my motherland Paraguay, exploring about the complexity between kindness, religion and politics in the country.
